Replacement/Discussion about Windows GUI.

Edgbla you closed my issue about Windows GUI may I ask why you dont want to replace it or at least upgrade it because it lacks basic features currently.

gtk on windows/macosx is trash anyways I think (too bloated and make
the app look extremely out of the place - just check out any
screenshot of gtk on macosx and compare it to native apps)
I agree with this opinion.
Windows gui is bad in your imagination only.

Problem is not in how Windows version looks but that it lacks functionality like Libarchive,Save rewind or support for ECM files and probably
other features I dont know about as Windows user.It doesnt need to be GTK if you dont like it, it can be Qt-Frontend or some other.Or maybe you can just update MFC frontend so it will get comparable features.

or support for ECM files
Use unpacked redump cd images without ecm.
Save rewind
Or maybe you can just update MFC frontend so it will get comparable features.
Patches are welcome.

''Use unpacked cd images without ecm'' I can do this but it doesnt change a fact Windows version shouldnt have GUI so much inferior to other versions or be unmaintained , most PC users use Windows. Unfortunately I am not programmist or emulator developer so I cant help mysef. ''Patches are welcome''. But if you want patches why dont you switch to more popular site, you wont get many patches here. Or even better switch to Git on more popular site, merging-requests is better and faster than patches. Github has Automatic Page Generator so creating home site shouldnt be much of a problem.
Or at least create official Git mirror on Github.

About github, you do not understand what you say. :D

You mean I dont understand what ? Github is definitely far more popular than Codeplex and is hosting major emulation projects like PSCX2,Dolphin,PPSSPP , Retroarch, rpcs3 or Xenia so getting additional developers or contributors how it is called on Github is far more likely on Github than here.

Its was pretty one-side discussion without any counterarguments or explanation from your side.

Well if gtk in Windows looks like crap and also is awkward, then that is not the solution.

Another possibility could be using mingw with Windows. Then on Windows at least it would be possible to use pthread, shm, etc..

gcc compiler generate slower code than msvc...

Even if GCC compiler is slower, PCSX-Reloaded CPU and GPU requirements are very low so it wouldnt be much of a problem.
