Mapping PS3 controller?

Hi,
I have attempted (and failed) to map a PS3 controller in PCSX-R.
My assumed reason (it also fails to easily map in other programs due to this) is that the motion sensing is interfering. When I run jstest, it shows that one of the sensors have constantly changing data (changed by 2 or something, and is very tough to control most of the time).

I have attempted to find the file I need to change, in .config (of my home folder), but it doesn't seem to contain any controller mappings.

I think I could easily map it to the buttons I want it to be if given the file, so it's mainly a matter of where the file is...

Can someone help me out?
I'm using Ubuntu 13.04 with pcsx-r 1.9.92

Okay so I've found the configuration... .pcsx/plugins/dfinput.cfg
Now I just have to decipher it....
If anyone knows what the first, second, third numbers mean, I'd like to know :-)

Those are SDL key definitions. How to query state from SDL.

First one tells key index, second one event type, third one state based on event type.

First: pad specific what index key gets

Second: AXIS=1, HAT=2, BUTTON=3

Third:
Axis positive=axis+, negative=axis-
Hat 8-bit for hat number, 8-bit for direction
Button button number
